5 Making and Receiving Calls
5.1 How to Make a Call
Once the phone is turned on and in standby mode, dial in the number you wish to call on the keypad. Every time you enter a digit, the telephone will say the number entered. In case you misdial, press the Cancel button
to erase the last digit. The telephone will say the previous digit to the erased one. If you press and hold the Cancel button
, all entered numbers will be erased and the phone will return to standby mode.
Press the Accept key
. The connection will be indicated and you will hear the message Calling...
When the number you are dialling is engaged or rejects your call, you will hear the message User busy after hearing the engaged tone. If the number you are calling is not available, the phone will say No answer. If there is not enough coverage to make the call, the phone will say Call number unreachable.
It is also possible to make a call using the Find and callfunction in the Phone book (Consult the FIND AND CALL section of the Phone book chapter) or by selecting a number from the call list. To gain access to the call list, press the Accept key
from the standby mode. To select a number from the call list, use the navigation keys. (Consult the CALL INFORMATION chapter).
